Since I Have Been Gone

Now that I am starting to get my blog legs back, I thought it would be nice to do a little sharing.  Fill you fill on some more of the things that I have been up to over the last couple months. Should we just dive right in and see some of things that have been keeping me away from you? Well, besides that boring stuff like work, work and more work.

Like any bad blogger I really don’t have a lot of pictures to show for myself. So I can’t really prove any of this but you will just have to take my word for it. Umm kay?
My sister and her husband came to stay with us a couple of times once for a whole week.
There was that time when I just HAD to binge watch all the available episodes of Dowton Abbey.

Ummm….and White Collar. Oops. Now I am jonesing for the last season of both because they are not available on Netflix yet. Both of these shows are amazing! I had been curious about WC for a while but kept putting it off. While my sister was here we saw Magic Mike XXL and well…let’s just say I needed more Matt Bomer STAT. Neal Caffery is definitely not a disapointment. Bad boys…just have to love them.
We all went to a Journey concert for my sister’s in-law and Scott’s birthday. This really should of been  good. So I was told. There is honestly only one song of theirs I know and I never got to hear it. We stopped believing just over half way through the show and left. This is a first for me but the sound was TERRIBLE. Apparently, they fixed it not too long after we left. Too bad they didn’t think to do it earlier.

My sister, brother and I didn’t some permanent bonding. More on that later…..teaser, hehe
We had a few birthday BBQ’s with the family and friends for Scott, Sabrina and my SIL Trish.
I read a few books trying to catch up on my reading goal. I am sooooo behind. The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins was probably my favorite. Can’t wait for the movie to come out. Review to come later?
Been busy planning up our November vacation, of course. My life is not complete unless I am planning a vacation. Right now, I may or may not be planning 4 different ones.
I spent some time with my nephews.

There were beach days you can’t live in a two beach town without them and ice cream that was soup the minute they gave it to you it was so hot out.
My best friend from high school and her husband came to stay a night with us during their mini vacation before their 1st baby is due next month. We had a fabulous dinner out and a great time catching up. It is nice to have those friends that you don’t see all that much but time and distance don’t change anything.

There was a private pizza party at an up and coming pizzeria. Which was amazing! I will definitely be blogging about this too. I actually even remembered to bring my big girl camera!
Obviously, there were wine tours! We didn’t get out near as much as I wanted but we still got to some pretty cool places.
That is a pretty good picture of my free time this summer. I didn’t have near as much as I usually do but that is ok by me. As always, it flew by at lightening speed. We still have a week left technically.  The weather here should last us another month. We usually have “summer” weather here until well into October but that won’t stop me from breaking out all things fall.

Hope you all had amazing summers! Can’t wait to catch up on the stories/posts I have missed. Plus, I am looking forward to your recaps as well because you know us bloggers love our recaps.
