It is finally Friday. This has been the longest week I have had in a long time. It felt like it was way more stressful than it needed to be. All I can say is TGIF! I am so looking forward to this weekend. While this wasn’t my favourite week in general, it did have a few highlights. Moments that made all the craziness bearable. Here’s the top five moments that made this week just a wee bit better.
This picture isn’t much to look at but it was everything at the time. The sky was a beautiful shade of blue. Not that you can see it. I am so over the grey. This was probably the highlight of the week. Walking to work without my Hunter boots, fluffy socks and long winter coat. Don’t get me wrong I love those boots. Probably too much but a short jacket, not pictured oops comfy Toms, leggings and bare ankles = bliss. It was actually warm enough that I got away with this for the first time in months. Please let this mean Spring is actually on its blooming way! Please Mr. Groundhog, let this be true and not just a teaser before another dreaded 6 weeks of winter.
My Erin Condren life planner finally arrived. Happy mail, happiness in a box. Whatever you want to call it. It sure brightened up my day. Maybe a review of the planner in a future post?
I finally finished the first Outlander book! I thought I would take a little break and read another book before starting the second. The last half was just so intense. I picked up Cold, Cold Heart a mystery/suspense novel that I have been impatiently waiting the release of. It is from the same author I did yesterday’s CWWreads review. Although I had planned for a bit of break, I didn’t take into account that I was going to devour the book in one sitting pretty much. So I ended up starting the second Outlander novel pretty much the next day. 24 hours is a break right?
I apparently can’t stop shopping online. I was never a fan and apparently now I am addicted. Which really comes in handy since I am a city girl living in a small town now. We can get some stuff here but not as much as I would like. I had been avoiding online shopping since I knew if I started I probably wouldn’t be able to stop. First the planner, then I ordered this fabulous Kate Spade case for my phone. Now I am stocking see what I am doing here this site Sock Dreams.
Last but definitely not least #5 on Friday, we are booking our next vacation tonight. Our next one after Disney in May that is. Well, at least I think we are. If we don’t do it tonight, we will get it done on Saturday for sure. So some time next week I will be able to tell you all about that. If you are interested that is. Not to rude but if you aren’t you might be in the place considering my blog name. wink wink.
Apparently, the week wasn’t so bad that I lost my sense of humour quirky as it may be. Also, I am a little over the moon that I managed to show up here everyday this month. It has been so good to be back in the groove again.
