Wanderlust Wednesday : Always Start With A Kiss on the Lips

I don’t know if you noticed or not but I may be getting a tad excited about our upcoming cruise. We leave in a month today! This Wednesday I am sharing some of the sinfully delicious things I am wanderlusting after while I wait for that sail away party.

This is one of those posts that is totally irrelevant and simply amazing all at once.  Do drinks and desserts really need their own post? Hell yeah.  Although, some I am sure would say that is a matter of opinion.  Well, it is my opinion and this is my blog so guess what.  Carnival food and drink porn it is.  I was debating on whether or not to leave this post on Wednesday because it was from a vacation or move it to a Monday because they usually about food.  I decided to stick with Wednesday cause lusting and porn just seems appropriate together.

From the moment you get on board you are encouraged to sit back, relax and have a drink.  Even better? Try a signature drink of the day in a souvenir cup which Scott opted for. By far, my favourite Carnival concoction is the Kiss on the Lips.  Which just always has to be my first drink.
This particular beauty has been talked about non stop since we got off the ship on the last cruise. The Tiramisu Martini that cannot be duplicated. Believe me we have made many an establishment try only to fail. Every. Damn. Time. You may recognize this as the infamous Bellini that cut my night short with just one sip. I don’t actually blame the drink but I do prefer my Bellini’s to be of the frozen variety.

A classic frozen Mudslide. Need I say more?
A Strawberry Daiquiri. Classic yum. Another Mudslide. We don’t drink much on cruises. Insert wink face emoji here.
This turned out to be the new favourite. I wanted some caffeine. Ok, I needed it. The coffee in the on the Lido Deck is well lets just say undrinkable.  I didn’t want to have to pay extra for coffee every time from the coffee bar. Not that it isn’t worth it because it so is. Also, it is a bit inconvenient to have to walk all the way there all time. This girl has a serious caffeine addiction.

Since we had the Cheers program and all my alcohol drinks were included I figured that maybe they could just make me up something because they are soooo good at that. I mean, Patron XO Cafe espresso tequila is basically something to be worshipped so I was sure must they have it and they did. Put two of my favourites things together and my under-caffeinated veins were giddy with this new fix, my Cafe Mudslide. That drink is actually a shot. I can’t remember what it was called. It was delicious. My sister in law tried it at dinner one night and it quickly become her drink of choice. Many of these were had, many.
The Cruiser a classic rum punch type. Be careful these go down like Kool-Aid.

Apparently that is all the drinks I was sober enough to take pictures of.  0 pictures of wine? Blogger fail. I promise, I drank quite a bit of it. Although, I probably didn’t take any pictures of it cause that is a home thing. Honestly, the wine wasn’t really anything to write home about either. So spoiled living in the heart of amazing wine country.

Well with the drinks out of the way now we on to the food. Oh, the food. This place is just one big food orgy. In order to spare you a little I am only going to show the desserts. A new favourite of mine is Cappuccino Pie. It is soooo sinfully delicious. Coffee ice cream pie perfection.
But the icing on the cake of any Carnival cruise is the Chocolate Melting Cake. This stuff is to die for. So warm and gooey in the middle with just the right amount of ice cream on side. This in itself is a good enough reason to book another cruise.
Another favourite worth mentioning is the Tiramisu. Delicious. I can never say no to it…..on land or at sea.

Now that I am salivating here I better get going. I need to go for a run or something. I think I gained 10 just thinking about all these calories. This doesn’t even cover the 24 hr ice cream and pizza and not to mention the meals. The food never ends on a cruise. Good thing it is hotter than hell in most of those places we are trekking around all day. Sweat, sweat sweat it out.
