Something About Mary

Warning : This post is catnip heavy.
Mary wanted to pop in and say HI today. Usually, she is content to hang out behind the scenes. She has never really been an attention whore like her brother was. It was purr-fectly fine with her to watch him enjoy the spotlight. She thought it was time to share and maybe now would be a good time to get to her. Mostly, she wanted some time away from those other kitties that have taken over her house, I think. So without further adieu here is something(s) about Mary she is sure you are dying to know.
She still isn’t too sure what to think of all this commotion. Not only are Uncle Kevin and Auntie Sabrina here they brought their kids with them. Trix seems like a cool cat but his sister really needs to take a chill pill.
She loves to curl up and get cozy.
She eats all the things. Even things that should ever be eaten. Plastic bags included.
Breakfast will be served no later than 6 am but possibly as early as 430.
Dinner at 5 sharp.
All the pets and scratches please but if you try to pick her up it is friends off. Grandma is the only exception to this.

Also, petting time is a game. She flops just out of reach, expects you to come to her. Two minutes after she moves a few inches away and expects you to re-adjust. Repeat until you get tired.
The only reason you could possibly be in the kitchen is get her food. Anything you might want to eat is also her food. She may or may not share it with you. This goes back to the whole she eats all the things.
Luckily she has the metabolism of a 12 year old girl. Nothing ever goes to her hips.
She loves to hear herself talk. Or sing.
She also loves to talk to the birds outside the window through the glass. Open the door and she loses all interest in them.
She has a bit of an attitude problem. Mostly, it is because of her indifference to the world around her.
Catnip is her jam.
Once when she was young she may or may not have eaten bag of human catnip. Munchies for days. She is always a good girl on her visits to see Carlie even if the girls in the back have to shave her paws for a blood sample. Which is nothing short of a miracle every time.
She has also surprised us and is taking her new meds like a champ.
She loves to be inside bags even plastic ones. So don’t try to pack to go anywhere even work.

There is no such thing as clean laundry. It is just another warm bed.

She is a sweet soul. She has never ever been a biter or a scratcher. She just turns the other cheek and walks away.

So now that we are all best friends so you can stop by for a can of tuna cup of coffee or a glass of wine any time. We would be happy to let you entertain us. wink wink
