long weekend road tripping

It is finally Friday again.  Not just any Friday either, you see it is a long weekend here in beautiful B.C.  Long weekends around here usually look like pretty laid back.  Lounging around the pool, on the deck, in front of a fire with a sippy cup in hand.  Possibly some s’mores and definitely repeat BBQ’ing.
Not this weekend though.  There isn’t much that could take me away from this awesome Okanagan summertime.  Maybe an Alaskan cruise? Hopefully, next summer but not this weekend.  This weekend we are taking a little road trip back home.  Finally.  It has been way to long since we have been back, over a year.  I miss it so much.  I don’t really have any good excuse as to why it has been this long but it is what it is.  So tonight I am packing up my stuff and we’ll head out on the open road in the morning. It is not really that far, only about a 4 hour drive depending on traffic.
There is so much I want to do.  So many people to see.  There is no way to get to even half of it.  I am going to try to relax and have fun, enjoy the trip.  Rather than stress and try to do to much because yes I have a tendency to do that.  I was going to do a list of stuff I would love/plan to do but I don’t want to jinx myself.
The photo above is from Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver.  It is one of my favourite spots.  I am hoping to make it out this way but we will see how the weekend goes.  Whatever happens I am sure it will be memorable.  Just cross your fingers I remember to take out my camera more than once so I can share it all.
