Friday Favourites : Ties & Tiaras

So excited that Friday has finally arrived again! I am looking forward to some R&R this weekend for sure.  It was a good week but it seemed to drag a little.  I wasn’t really sure what I was going to blog about for today.  Then if I was even going to blog.  Tigger the little bugger bit my index finger pretty hard on Wednesday night.  It is swollen and not exactly comfortable for typing.  I didn’t want to not blog especially since today marks me being consistently here for 2 whole months.  Can you imagine that? It still amazes even me.
I have been noticed a lot of wedding related stuff going around the blog world.  I mean, really you would have to be blind not to notice it.  I realized that I haven’t really ever posted any of our wedding pictures up on this blog since I wasn’t blogging 5 years ago when we got married.  I thought I would share my 5 favourite pictures from our special day.  Who doesn’t love looking at wedding pictures? Or sharing them? Also, it saves me from typing too much too, bonus.  Well, now that it is settled here they are.

This photo was taken in the morning as we were getting ready.  It was probably the most emotional moment of the day.  My dad’s best friend better half say that 10 times fast was sewing my mom’s wedding band inside my dress so she would be there with me.  It was my something old from my sister.

Alex my flower girl melts my heart.  I can’t believe how fast she and her siblings are growing up.  It breaks my heart to be away from her and her amazing family since we moved away.

This picture cracks me up mostly because of Alex and Owen.  The look on Alex’s face is priceless.  Then Owen is just standing there all GQ like we are the background for his photoshoot.

Just a little girly fun and a re-creation from a wedding picture of my sister’s.  There may or may not have been some champagne among other things being passed around to keep warm.  It was November after all.  Bare skin, wind and there threat of more rain.  Fun times, girls.  Fun times.

There are so many moments with this amazing man that made me his wife that day.  How to choose just one? This one reminds me to savour each moment because they pass so quickly.

And a bonus picture. I said that there would be 5 because on Friday we do things in 5’s.  But I just couldn’t resist adding this gem.  This I will have you know was not the only time he was caught on camera kissing another man this day.  Good thing he was the best man.
That was actually a lot harder than I thought it was going to be.  How is one to narrow down their 5 favourites out of over 1000 pictures? Makes me want to do more posts.  Maybe I will.  If anyone is interested in the details of our big day.  I had meant to do a bit of a series last November when we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary but I was a bad blogger then.  Hard to hand in your projects when you are showing up for school.
Linking up with Amanda for Friday Favourites.  You should totally go and check her out if she isn’t already on your stalking list.  She got married last weekend in the most beautiful way possible.
I am also linking up with Christina for 5 on Friday and the all the amazing High Five For Friday girls.    Be sure to go on over and give them some love and even join in the link up if you like!
All photos were taken by Michael from Stanton’s Photography.  He was amazing for the second time. My sister and her husband hired him as their wedding photographer and he did such a fabulous job we hired him as well.  If you live in the Metro Vancouver area and need a photographer I would totally recommend him.
