Behind The Scenes

I have been posting a lot of pictures lately and I thought it may be time to put my fingers to the keyword and actually say something. Talk a little or lot about what is going on with me behind the scenes right now. I know I love a good Currently post. Really, who doesn’t?

Reading || Kari from Oh, For The Love of Stories is raving about the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Mass. It is of course a YA series. I know, I can’t help myself. I finally decided to start it. I am behind on my reading challenge and I need some books that I can devour. I just started it but I can tell this is going to fit the bill perfectly.

Drinking || Besides the obvious, I am loving me some Pumpkin Chai Tea from David’s Tea. I even went out this week and bought this new steeper which I am pretty stoked about.

Thinking || All things cruise. Not a surprise here.

Doing || Trying to stay on top of my blog and yours. So far so good.

Watching || Poldark on Masterpiece. This show is an amazing combination of the things I am missing in life right now. Well, my TV life that is. I must admit I am a little behind on watching it as I let it pile up on my DVR so I could binge it at my leisure. The best way to watch anything if you ask me. It is sort of like a mash up of Outlander and Dowton Abbey which is weird and not totally fair to say but it satisfies my need for them in the long wait until they premiere again.

I am also gearing up to watch all my favourite shows as they are finally starting fall premieres. There are a few new shows I am looking forward to as well. I think I may save all this goodness for another post though. I will say I did catch the premiere of Scream Queens and I am not sure what to think. I kinda love it and all its cheese but should I? I’ll have to give it a couple more episodes to make a final decision, I think.

Netflixing || Because we all know this is a whole different beast. I recently started watching The Vampire Diaries from the beginning. I kind forget how much I used to love it. The last couple of seasons haven’t been my favourite. I also started Nashville and I like it but I don’t love it yet.

Buying || All the candles. I sort of went out and bought almost a dozen fall scented 3 wicks the other day since they were are on sale super cheap. Also, shopping online is getting real around these parts these days. Love all the bonus Airmiles we have been collecting since a lot of the retailers only offer Airmiles online and not in store. Which is fine by me cause most of these stores are not in my small town anyway. I think I am officially on a first name basis with the postman.

Wondering || Since most of thoughts recently are either cruise or blog related I have been wondering what I am going to do with this little blog of mine while I am away. Will I schedule a bunch of my own content ahead of time or should I try to set up some guest posts? Usually in the past I have either just scheduled ahead or been on a break. I thought lining up some guest posts might be fun? I guess the real question is whether or not anyone would be interested in guest posting while I am gone?

Eating || Pumpkin Spice Cookies with Rum Cream Cheese Frosting.  I found some amazing fall cookie recipes from Giustina at Domestically Blissful. You can drool over them here and here.

Smelling || My place smells amazing thanks to my American twin Laurie over at andiamo.  I have had this delightful pot of all things fall simmering on my stove all week.

Wanting || A new iPhone. I finally had enough of my Samsung a few weeks ago and pulled my SIM out and transferred it back to my iPhone 4s. Although, I have come to the conclusion that a old iPhone is better than a new Samsung the screen size on my 4s definitely leaves something to be desired. Now I just have to figure out how to get myself into a shiny new model. How amazing is this new rose gold iPhone 6S? Super amazing. Although, that $1000 price tag is a little steep for a girl that is on a wanderlust countdown.

Loving || The Skimm. Amanda at Voyage of the MeeMee turned me on to this awesome newsletter. It is perfect. There is so much depressing news out that half most of the time I didn’t even bother with it. Now I can easily keep up because it is exactly what Amanda claimed it to be “the Cliff’s Notes of current events”.

Needing || Time to go by a little faster so I can start basking in the Caribbean sun.

And that’s a wrap for today.
